According to private sources published by Al-Jazeera, intense contacts are being made by mediators to contain the situation in Gaza and prevent it from turning into an open clash.

Also, Al-Jazeera stated that mediators informed the Hamas Movement that Israel is willing to honor a truce, and the Palestinian factions responded that Israel launched the aggression and must be held accountable.

In the same context, the head of the Hamas political bureau received calls from Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations, during which they discussed the current onslaught against the Gaza Strip and how to deal with it, blaming the Israeli occupation for the escalation and repercussions.
