A young Palestinian man and an "Israeli" soldier were shot by occupation soldiers at the Rantis checkpoint in the occupied West Bank, west of Ramallah.

Israeli media reported that the "Israeli" army asserted that someone drove up to the Rantis crossing and attempted to pass through. They asserted that he began punching the troops and attempting to seize them as they were looking over the suspect. Additionally, as he attempted to take a soldier's weapon, another soldier started firing.
