Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke over the phone about a range of topics, including bilateral military and intelligence collaboration between both of them.
They also discussed the Iranian nuclear issue, with Netanyahu restating his steadfast stance that Israel would not be required to refrain from taking action against Iran under any nuclear agreement that did not halt Iran's nuclear development.
The two countries also discussed the backdrop of numerous reports claiming that the United States and European nations had resumed negotiations with Iran on its nuclear activities.
"It is acknowledged that our approach to Iran's nuclear program must be diplomatic. The unstable nature of Iranian decision-making, which can result in conflict with Israel, is worrying," a western diplomat stated.
