Tsevka Fogel, a member of the “Otzma Yehudit” party, also known as “Jewish Power” in the Israeli Knesset, introduced a draft law that gives the so-called Minister of National Security of Israel, Itamar Ben Gvir, the authority to order the administrative detention of Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948.
In accordance with the law, "Ben Gvir" will have the authority to obstruct anyone from leaving the occupied country, compel any detainee to hand over his passport to the occupation forces. He will also have authority to compel him to appear before the center of the occupation court on the dates that he will specify. The law also gives "Ben Gvir" additional powers, such as the ability to restrict exit or residence in specific areas that restrict freedom of movement.
