The military prosecution of the Israeli occupation chose to close the investigation with the Israeli soldiers who are accused of assulting the elderly Palestinian, Omar Asaad, 80, which led to his death last year. 

Asaad was killed in January 2022 following his arrest and assault by an occupying army squad in a deserted home in the city of Ramallah. He was handcuffed, blindfolded, and harshly beaten, which ultimately resulted in his death. 

According to sources in the occupation army, the martyr Asaad's family members declined to help in the investigation, and the military prosecution dropped the case under the pretense that it was unable to get the autopsy report from the Palestinian Authorit.
