The Israeli government, during its weekly meeting, decided to undermining Bezalel Smotrich, the Israeli finance minister, to provide initial ratification for planning and building in settlements. It also agreed on shortening the procedures for settlement growth.

According to the Israeli public radio station "Kan," the decision mandates that payments for building plans in the settlements be made without the consent of the Israeli political establishment, which is in contrast to the scenario that has prevailed for 25 years.

The Supreme Planning Council of the occupation will no longer require political level approval in order to receive plans for settlement construction in the occupied West Bank during the two stages of depositing the plan and its final approval, "Kan" reported.
