According to Israeli media, the so-called "Senior Country Planning and Construction Committee" of the "Israeli" Civil Occupation Administration is scheduled to take place to approve the construction of thousands of settlement units in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that the agenda of the "Qatari Commission" includes the approval of the construction of 4,560 settlement units spread over dozens of settlements, and the distribution of construction tenders to a number of settlements, the majority of which are classified as isolated and outside settlement blocks.
According to the newspaper, the announcement comes despite strong U.S. opposition to the move, and Israeli sources have reported that the plans come within the roof of 10 thousands of settlement units announced by the occupation last February in two batches
