According to Israeli media, an Israeli soldier was killed and another was injured in a fedayeen operation in Qalqilya, in the occupied West Bank. It was also reported that the perpetrator was proclaimed a martyr after a severe confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF). 

The Iraeli "Kan 11" channel reported that a Palestinian in a car drove up to the "Kdumim" illegal settlement and fired at a soldier from close range, seriously wounding him before he passed away. Another settler was also wounded during the operation, and the soldiers heavily shelled the martyr with a barrage of live bullets; thus, he was immediately proclaimed a martyr on the scene. 

Additionally, the house of the operation's perpetrator, the martyr "Ahmed Yassin" Hilal Ghaidan, was raided by the occupation forces in numerous numbers, and his father and brother were subsequently detained.
