Israeli reactions were furious after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the opposition and protesters, defending his government's decisions against the judiciary.
Knesset member Ron Katz summarized Netanyahu's remarks as, "Protesters destroy everything, reserve forces destroy democracy, the opposition is guilty, and the government is excellent and works for everyone."
Dozens of Israelis protested in Tel Aviv, according to the Israeli newspaper "Haaretz."
Justice Minister in the occupation entity, Gideon Saar, said, "Netanyahu, as usual, lies. I never proposed legislation to cancel the reasonableness clause." In turn, the leader of the "Yisrael Beiteinu'' party, Avigdor Lieberman, stated, "Netanyahu's speech tonight is a new trick and another attempt to deceive the public... The only real solution is to replace this government, establish a Zionist and liberal government, and enact a constitution."
