The Israeli Air Force is worried that regular and permanent officers and flight crews will join the armed reservists' demonstrations and end their military service as long as the legal process to eliminate the pretext of unreasonableness is allowed to proceed as part of a larger strategy to weaken the judiciary.

Additionally, 1,142 active officers and soldiers serving in the reserve sent a message announcing that "the legislation that permits the government to act unreasonably and in an extreme way will lead, with deep regret and without choice, to suspend volunteering in the reserve" and describing this message as "an earthquake that hits the Israeli army."
Approximately 10,000 reservists said they would quit signing up for the reserves if the judicial plan's legislation was to progress, according to the opposition group "Brothers in Arms," which made the announcement during a news conference.
The Knesset plenary will begin deliberations today, which will be followed by a vote in the second and third readings to revoke the pretext of unreasonableness, either today or tomorrow.
