In the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation troops began a campaign of raids and incursions that resulted in confrontations in some places and the detention of numerous Palestinians, while also storming Jenin and its camp.
The institutions concerned with affairs of prisoners reported that the occupation forces detained Palestinians for hours before arresting them. These arrests included leaders of the Hamas movement. The raids were concentrated in the neighborhoods of Hebron, Salfit, and Jenin, and involved the search of dozens of homes, wreaking havoc on them, and subjecting their owners to field investigations.
A spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army claimed that during a campaign of incursions in the West Bank, army personnel detained nine Palestinians for allegedly having firearms.
As the occupation forces stormed and destroyed homes in the camp, confrontations broke out between them and the youths. An Israeli special force also arrested the leader of the Hamas movement, the recently released prisoner Fathi Otoum, after raiding his home in the city of Jenin.
