28 new settlement construction plans in the occupied West Bank are being discussed by the Supreme Planning Council, or the so-called Israeli Civil Administration.
There was a request for approval of a proposal to build 175 homes in the Ariel settlement, "with the aim of closing the Palestinian town of Salfit, which will affect its natural growth, and the plan is expected to reach thousands of housing units."
The "Peace Now" organization stated that by the time 13,037 homes are accepted, the Supreme Council for Planning will have authorized 12,855 more homes in addition to the 182 already authorized.
