The Palestine Center for Prisoner Studies has reported that the occupation's practice of arbitrarily detaining Palestinian children has intensified this year.
According to the Center, the Israeli courts have issued approximately 2,000 administrative rulings against Palestinians since the year's start, including decisions against women, the ill, the elderly, and freed prisoners. Additionally, they prosecuted children under the age of 18, and the occupation continues to hold 19 children in administrative custody under harsh conditions and without charges.
According to the center's director, since the start of this year, the occupation court has issued more than 34 administrative detention judgments against children, some of whom have had their orders renewed three times in a row. Many high school students have also been banned from attending final Tawjihi exams because of the administrative detention.
