The Prisoners’ Media Office reported that as of early August 2025, the number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons has reached 10,800.

It stressed in a statement that this is the highest figure since the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000 (not including those detained in army camps).

The statement noted that there are 49 female prisoners — including two from Gaza — and more than 450 children. The number of administrative detainees stands at 3,613, the highest compared to other categories.
