For a period of 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces have closed the Al-Masjid Al-Ibrahimi in the city of Hebron. This closure began at 10:00 p.m. yesterday.
According to Al Masjid's director, Ghassan Al-Rajabi, the occupying authorities entirely opened Al Masjid to illegal settlers while denying access to worshipers under the guise of "Jewish holidays."
In addition to serious transgressions like imposing a siege, strengthening security at checkpoints, and preventing residents from visiting holy sites, the occupation takes advantage of Jewish holidays to make life much harder for Palestinians.
In a parallel development, scores of Israelis invaded Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa while being heavily guarded by Israeli occupation police, who continued to enact stringent regulations and limit visitors' access to the Al-Masjid and their freedom of movement in its yards.
