Avigdor Lieberman, the leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being to blame for the security and financial downfall of his nation.
Lieberman was quoted by the Israeli newspaper "Israel Hayom" as criticizing Netanyahu and asserting that he clearly poses a threat to the State of Israel. He also called for the next Israeli government to be without Netanyahu because he puts his own interests ahead of those of the Israeli government, according to Lieberman.
The publication noted that Lieberman made his comments at a conference in Beersheba, where he claimed that the occupation government is in financial and security collapse due to a lack of soldiers serving in both civil and military capacities.
It is significant that Israel has had a series of ongoing protests against the government plan since 30 weeks ago in various parts of the nation. Opponents of the plan call it a "coup" and claim that it "will eliminate democracy in Israel."
