Around 70 administrative detainees in Israeli prisons continue to boycott the Israeli military courts as part of their protest against the policy of administrative detention. The number of detainees has exceeded 1200, which is the highest in years since the Al-Aqsa Intifada. Since the beginning of this year, Israel has issued more than 2200 administrative detention orders.
The Prisoners' Club explained that the majority of detainees who are continuing the boycott are former prisoners who have spent years in Israeli prisons, many of them under administrative detention. This boycott is one of several protest actions that administrative detainees are taking, including individual hunger strikes by four detainees.
