According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Prisoner Asif Al-Rifai, 20, who is languishing in the so-called "Ramla Prison Clinic" and has cancer throughout his body, still requires urgent medical care.
After more than 12 treatment sessions that began long after his detention, Al-Rifai started undergoing chemotherapy under strict security measures.
The commission also demonstrated that the cancer was discovered in the prisoner’s body in 2021 and that he had undergone a number of chemotherapy and oncology treatments. However, his most recent arrest had led to a deterioration in his health, and the disease had progressed to an advanced stage. That is to say, because the occupation had refused to monitor his health condition and give him the necessary care.
