The people of Jabal Al-Mukaber, in occupied Jerusalem, have been closing the Al-Salah Technological School for ten days, since it was opened by the Israeli municipality in Jerusalem, which is attempting to compel the teaching of Israel's occupation curriculum.
A daily sit-in in front of the school is still being held by the Parents' Committee and a few other parents, asking for the right of Al-Salah School's 460 students to start their high school and learn the Palestinian curriculum.
In an effort to completely replace the Palestinian curriculum with the Israeli curriculum in Palestinian schools in occupied Jerusalem, the occupying forces attempted to impose new textbooks that would be reprinted after the Palestinian flag had been removed from their cover, along with removing any text referring to the Palestinian identity.
