The Israeli occupation prisons' administration is committing a systematic crime of medical negligence against 20-year-old cancer patient Asif Al-Rifai, according to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, noting that his health is noticeably and quickly deteriorating.

After visiting the prisoner, the Commission's attorney, Fawaz Shalodi, revealed that Al-Rifai had surgery after a new tumor developed in the urethra, which led to the failure of one of his kidneys. He had a gadget put in for him, and his kidney started working again. He also has cancer that has spread all over his body.

According to the prisoners commission, approximately 5,000 prisoners are languishing in the occupation prisons, including 700 patients, 15 of whom are permanently imprisoned in the Ramla Prison Hospital, which is unfit or unqualified for treatment, and 23 prisoners are afflicted with cancer, with Walid Daqqa and Asif Al-Rifai's cases being the most challenging.
