In order to facilitate the entry of Gazan workers into the occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation government decided to reopen the Beit Hanoun "Erez" crossing with the besieged Gaza Strip, which will take effect today. The number of these workers is anticipated to be over 18,000.

Since the start of the previous week, the occupation has shut off the borders with the Gaza Strip and prevented workers from accessing occupied Palestine.

The intensity of the daily protests organized by the "Rebel Youth" units, which are young organizations linked to the Palestinian factions, grew, which accelerated the pace of events on the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.

Tor Wensland, the UN representative for the Middle East, had earlier stated, "The United Nations is speaking with all concerned and working with them to improve the lives of people in Gaza, especially vulnerable groups."
