A campaign of raids and searches by Israeli occupation forces was initiated across the occupied West Bank, resulting in severe confrontations in certain places and the detention of several Palestinians. Also, clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and the occupation forces in Nablus and Tubas erupted as a result.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained a number of Palestinians under the guise of being engaged in resistance activities against the illegal settlers and the occupation troops. These detentions were concentrated in Hebron, Nablus, Tubas, and Jenin, during which soldiers raided dozens of homes and subjected their citizens to field investigation after holding them for hours.

Following the occupying army's special force assault on the Balata camp in Nablus Governorate, resistance fighters and an occupation army special force engaged in brutal confrontations in the Nablus Governorate. Also, there were frequent flights of reconnaissance aircraft over the camp. In a related context, when occupation soldiers stormed the Ain Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm, resistance fighters opened fire on them, sparking bloody confrontations between both sides.
