Researcher Mu'ath Ighbarieh revealed that the Israeli occupation has opened a tunnel extending from the Al-Buraq Square to the Umayyad Palaces adjacent to the southern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque. This tunnel involves a clear Judaization of the landmarks of the city and the surroundings of Al-Aqsa Mosque, promoting the so-called "Temple" allegedly found during excavations in the Umayyad Palaces, including the Star of David and the candelabrum.

He added that the tunnel was opened three months ago and can be accessed from the Gate of the Moroccans, leading to Al-Buraq Square. It extends about 200 meters with a height of 15 meters and contains a museum displaying artifacts claimed to have been discovered during excavations in the Umayyad palaces. Among these artifacts are the Star of David and the candelabrum.

During the tour inside the tunnel, a film is shown in three languages: Arabic, English, and Hebrew, promoting the alleged "Temple" and alluding to the presence of a Christian church around the Dome of the Rock Mosque.
