Following his recent exclusion from security meetings, Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, held a reconciliation meeting with National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Ben Gvir and Netanyahu met only in private, according to Yedioth Ahronoth, and a senior official reportedly informed the newspaper that Likud was trying to pacify Ben Gvir because Netanyahu wouldn't have a cabinet without him.

In light of Ben Gvir’s repeated demands to tighten the situation on Palestinian detainees and to repeatedly exclude him from security discussions, the meeting tries to end the tension between the two parties.
