The Israeli occupation continues to keep the Kerem Shalom crossing, located in the southeastern part of the Gaza Strip, closed for the sixth consecutive day. This crossing is the main entry point for humanitarian aid and goods into the territory.

This closure follows a decision by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt all supplies to Gaza, starting last Sunday.

Netanyahu is using the blockade of aid as a means of blackmail and pressure, attempting to evade entering the second phase of the ceasefire agreement negotiations, which were supposed to begin on February 3.

As the crossings remain closed and aid is blocked, the humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate.
