The Israeli occupation forces have reinforced their presence in occupied Jerusalem and tightened restrictions on worshippers coming from the West Bank to the city to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation army has prohibited men under the age of 55 and women under the age of 50 from entering Jerusalem. Dozens of elderly individuals were turned back at the Qalandiya and Bethlehem checkpoints while attempting to reach the mosque, under the pretext of lacking the required permits. However, this did not stop thousands of worshippers from arriving at the mosque since early morning.

Widespread calls have been made for continuous I'tikaf (spiritual retreat) at Al-Aqsa Mosque throughout the month of Ramadan to thwart any Judaization plans.
