The Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the Gaza Strip has entered a dangerous phase due to the ongoing siege, the closure of border crossings, and the prevention of aid and fuel entry.
The office explained that the Israeli occupation has been closing crossings and blocking essential humanitarian supplies for the 23rd consecutive day, preventing the entry of 600 aid trucks daily, along with 50 fuel trucks. This has led to a severe humanitarian catastrophe affecting vital sectors, including the closure of dozens of bakeries due to the lack of cooking gas and the near depletion of flour. Additionally, more than 700 water wells have been destroyed, worsening the water crisis and increasing disease rates due to contamination.
The office further stated that the occupation has deliberately blocked the entry of essential medicines and treatments, as well as medical supplies and spare parts for hospital generators. It has also prevented hundreds of surgeons and medical delegations from entering Gaza.
The Government Media Office urged the international community, the United Nations, human rights organizations, and humanitarian agencies to take immediate action and pressure the occupation to reopen the crossings and allow the entry of aid and fuel to save the lives of 2.5 million Palestinians in the Strip.
