The spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, Mahmoud Bassal, announced the near-total collapse of the humanitarian system in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli aggression and the targeting of relief and medical teams.

Bassal stated that 51% of Civil Defense teams have been neutralized, including martyrs, prisoners, and injured personnel. This has greatly impacted the ability to respond to humanitarian calls and rescue civilians trapped under the rubble, leading to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster in the region.

Bassal also mentioned that the fuel supply for the Civil Defense has been completely depleted, in addition to the deliberate destruction of vehicles by the occupation. He called on the international community and human rights organizations to intervene immediately to protect humanitarian teams and provide safe corridors to enable them to carry out their humanitarian duties.
