The spokesperson for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Kazem Abu Khalaf, announced the closure of 21 centers for treating malnutrition in Gaza due to the resumption of the Israeli occupation's aggression and the issuance of evacuation orders in the areas where they were operating.
He explained that UNICEF is awaiting the issuance of a report from the authority responsible for food security classification in the Gaza Strip and will present the findings once available.
UNICEF stated that more than one million children in the Gaza Strip have been deprived of life-saving aid for over a month, pointing out that the continued prevention of aid entry into Gaza has dire consequences for children—especially infants, whose supplementary foods have run out, with only enough ready-made formula remaining to feed 400 children for just one month.
