The Ministry of Health in Gaza has issued an urgent appeal to replenish medicine stocks in hospitals and primary care centers across the Strip, as shortages reach unprecedented levels due to the ongoing Israeli blockade.
According to the ministry, 37% of essential medicines and 59% of medical consumables are now completely out of stock, posing a severe threat to patient care.
The crisis has left 80,000 diabetic patients and 110,000 hypertension patients without access to their necessary medications in primary care centers. Moreover, 54% of cancer and hematology medications are also unavailable.
The ministry warns of catastrophic health consequences if immediate international intervention is not provided.
