The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported that approximately 660,000 children in Gaza are currently receiving no formal education due to the ongoing Israeli war.
UNRWA stated that temporary education activities have been severely impacted since the resumption of hostilities on March 18, adding that recent Israeli displacement orders across the Strip have made it even harder for children to access psychological and recreational support.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli military has been committing acts of genocide in Gaza, resulting in over 169,000 people killed or injured, the majority of them children and women, in addition to more than 14,000 missing.
