Tens of thousands of worshippers performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the occupation’s siege of Jerusalem and the Old City, and the prevention of dozens of young men from reaching the mosque.
The occupation forces imposed a blockade around the entrances to Jerusalem, especially in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, by setting up iron barricades in conjunction with the so-called Jewish "Lag BaOmer" holiday.
Meanwhile, soldiers were deployed around the Old City of Jerusalem and its gates, stopping dozens of young men to check their IDs and preventing others from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.
