United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres stated that the ongoing war in Gaza must come to an end and that the hostages must be released.
Speaking at the 34th Arab League Summit held in Baghdad, Guterres said that nothing justifies the collective punishment being inflicted on the Palestinian people, rejecting the forced displacement of the residents of the Gaza Strip.
He affirmed that the United Nations will not participate in the announced operations to deliver humanitarian aid that do not comply with international law and humanitarian principles.
