Yair Golan, leader of the Israeli "Democrats" party, stated that soldiers of the Israeli occupation army are committing atrocities in the Gaza Strip to satisfy the killing instinct of some members of the ruling coalition leadership.
In an interview with Israeli radio, Golan added that the state is following the same path taken by white South Africans through a policy of ethnic cleansing and racial discrimination, stressing that the act of killing infants should not become a "hobby" in the hands of soldiers.
He attacked the ruling coalition, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and opposition parties condemned Golan’s statements, calling on the occupation police to investigate him for "defaming the army."
