Israeli Human Rights Organizations Warn Against "Voluntary Migration" from Gaza

Four Israeli human rights organizations have warned that the implementation of the occupation's policy regarding so-called "voluntary migration" from the Gaza Strip effectively constitutes forced deportation of civilians, which amounts to a war crime and a crime against humanity.

This warning came in a letter addressed to the Israeli Minister of Security, the Attorney General, and the Military Advocate General. The letter outlined the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The organizations stated that approximately 632,700 people—around 29% of the population—have been displaced again since the resumption of the war on March 18, 2025, with many fleeing without belongings or shelter.

They stressed that the only way to change the catastrophic reality in Gaza is to end the war and lift all restrictions on the movement of goods and aid.
