The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that the Israeli occupation continues to implement a declared plan to depopulate the Gaza Strip through successive forced displacement orders.

In a statement, the Monitor added that the tools of forced displacement include bombardment, starvation, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and the expulsion of residents through firepower. This has resulted in the concentration of the population in a limited area that constitutes less than 15% of the Gaza Strip, while 85% of its land is either under direct Israeli military control or subject to forced displacement orders. This, the Monitor said, amounts to a systematic erasure of the Palestinian presence, aimed at creating a permanent demographic change in the Strip.

It also pointed out that the Israeli army has issued 51 forced displacement orders since reneging on the ceasefire agreement last March, which have led to the displacement of over one million people.
