The World Health Organization (WHO) has called for the protection of both main and field hospitals in the Gaza Strip to ensure the providing of healthcare services.
The organization stated that many medical procedures in Gaza hospitals have been suspended due to the lack of basic services and the complete absence of fuel.
“We received children yesterday with gunshot wounds to the head inside Gaza,” the WHO said, stressing that a large number of injured individuals in the Strip urgently need medical evacuation outside the territory.
Since March 2, the Israeli occupation has closed all border crossings into Gaza, blocking the entry of food, humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and fuel — causing a dramatic deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
