A well-informed Palestinian source confirmed that the ongoing negotiations in Doha are facing difficult and complex circumstances due to the positions of the Israeli occupation delegation.

The source told Al Mayadeen channel: “No agreement has been reached on any of the disputed points,” explaining that the Israeli occupation insists on maintaining control over more than one-third of the Gaza Strip, including the entire city of Rafah.

He added that the Israeli side also wants to retain control over more than 2 kilometers along the eastern and northern borders of the Strip.

The source further pointed out that the Israeli delegation insists on keeping the aid mechanism under the control of American aid centers — which he described as “death traps.”
