Intensified Efforts to Reach Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza

Diplomatic efforts are intensifying to push forward negotiations between the Israeli government and Hamas in hopes of reaching a new ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, according to Lebanon’s "Al-Akhbar" newspaper.

The report stated that Cairo, Doha, and Washington are all actively working in parallel toward this goal. However, clear differences remain between the two parties: Hamas continues to insist on its core demands, including a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, lifting the blockade, and ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, Israel is trying to impose a new military reality that contradicts the messages of "flexibility" it is conveying through mediators, including the creation of new field routes like the "Magen Oz axis" separating East and West Khan Younis.

Mediators believe that U.S. pressure is beginning to yield limited results, as seen in Israel’s willingness to consider new modifications to its withdrawal maps.
