U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in the Israeli-occupied entity today amid stalled negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.

Channel 12 in Israel reported that the main purpose of Witkoff’s visit is to discuss two key issues: the ongoing fighting in Gaza and the humanitarian situation in the Strip.

The channel added that the most prominent reason for the visit is "the disturbing images coming out of Gaza and the intense international pressure on Israel to provide broad humanitarian aid to the residents of the Strip."

Witkoff is expected to visit one of the aid distribution centers run by the U.S.-based "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" in Gaza to closely examine the dire humanitarian conditions, particularly the widespread hunger in many areas.
