The Government Media Office announced that the number of martyred journalists has risen to 248 since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, following the killing of journalist Rasmi Jihad Salem in an Israeli strike on Gaza City.

The office condemned the systematic targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Israeli occupation, calling on the International Federation of Journalists and the Arab Journalists Union to denounce these crimes.

It also urged serious and effective pressure to stop the ongoing genocide and to protect journalists and media professionals in the Gaza Strip.
