Yedioth: Netanyahu Implies Israel’s Role in Assassinating Iranian Scholar

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that PM Netanyahu implied in a press conference the role of the occupation in the assassination of the Iranian scholar Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Yedioth did not give any details on the subject. However, Maariv quoted Netanyahu in the press conference after the announcement of Fakhrizadeh’s assassination, “I cannot share with you everything I have done this week”. Kan Channel also quoted Netanyahu in the same conference, “I want to tell you that something is happening in the Middle East. We are facing a time of tension”. Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Netanyahu had revealed in 2018 conference the names included in the Iranian ‘secret nuclear archive’ which included a picture of the scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Netanyahu described him as the shadow man who headed the Iranian Emad project for the development of nuclear weapons. Observers said it was more likely for the USA to carry out an operation against Tehran before Trump leaves the White House on January 20, 2021.
