The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, as several areas across the Strip witness ongoing military escalation.
On the 52nd day since the ceasefire began, the occupation army announced that it had killed more than 40 fighters who were trapped in a tunnel network in the Rafah area in the southern Gaza Strip, through airstrikes and detonations targeting the tunnels.
Husam Badran, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, said that the movement held negotiations through mediators with Israel to resolve the issue of the fighters trapped underground, but Tel Aviv “stallled, set impossible conditions, and backed down from previous proposals.”
Meanwhile, the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, inside the Yellow Line, witnessed renewed military escalation, as Israeli artillery heavily bombed several positions, accompanied by gunfire from helicopters. Israeli aircraft also bombed the neighborhoods of Shujaiya and Tuffah in eastern Gaza City.
