Dec 12, 2020 03:30 pm

UN OCHA mentioned in its report that the Israeli occupation had bulldozed and confiscated 52 houses in two weeks under the pretext of lacking construction permits. 49 of the houses are in the West Bank and two in east Al-Quds.

67 Palestinian citizens were displaced and 860 others were affected from 24 November to 7 December, 2020. Palestinian and international rights organizations stated that the occupation intentionally lowers the number of issued permits to the Palestinians in the eastern side of Al-Quds and the West Bank.

The Palestinians suffer a lot in order to have permits issued. Permits cost tens of thousands of dollars for each residential apartment.

On November 2nd, the UN said that the occupation had demolished 689 buildings in different areas of the occupied West Bank, including the east side of Al-Quds, since the beginning of 2020 which led to the displacement of 869 Palestinians.

The Palestinian Information Center said that the number of demolished houses since the occupation of Al-Quds in 1967 reached more than 1900 homes.
