Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Israeli army had found the body of a 52-year-old female settler in the bushes west Jenin. The body showed signs of violence.
The newspaper said that it may be a deliberate attack. The police and the Shabak are investigating the incident.
Yossi Dagan, Chief of Settlements in north the occupied West Bank, said that it may be a Palestinian operation as the settler was hit with a huge stone in her head.
Dagan promised to build more settlements in response to the operation. Last May, Jenin witnessed the killing of an Israeli soldier who was hit with a huge stone in the head as well in Ya’bad.
Jenin is surrounded by nine settlements that look like a belt on an area of 2942 donums. Their expansion is meant to suffocate and dissect the geographical and residential connections between the Palestinians.
It is also meant to facilitate the work of the occupation and strengthen its control over the citizens, the confiscation of the largest area of the lands and isolating them with wires, and the nationalization of thousands of settlers.
