Activist Aref Jaber, member of Human Rights Defenders, managed to receive an order from the Israeli occupation of the evacuation of all construction works the settlers had built on his land in Baqa’a, east Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
Activist Badi’ Al-Dweik, Chief of the Civil Society of Human Rights Defenders, said that this victory was the fruit of the efforts exerted by the activists of the Human Rights Defenders who demolished the outpost constructed by the settlers more than three times, and the popular and legal resistance which were based on documents confirming the ownership of Aref Jaber. The media also played a role in exposing all the violations of the settlers.
The order gave the settlers three days to remove all the illegal constructions they had built on his land. Al-Dweik commended Jaber’s steadfastness and persistence to cling to his land. He also urged everyone to take him as an example, because the person with a right and continues to fight always wins at the end.
