Israeli sources said that the indictment filed against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was amended by the Tax Authority in the so-called Case 4000 and was presented to the Supreme Court in Al-Quds.
The amended indictment was filed after Netanyahu and Shaul Elovitch, former owner of Bezeq the Telecommunication Corp, had appealed for the removal of all language referring to the PM’s family to refer only to him.
The indictment includes 150 requests out of 230 to improve the image of Netanyahu and his family in the media, increase the display time of good news about him, change all negative news that address him and his family, and prevent the airing of an interview that was held with him.
The amended indictment shows requests made by Netanyahu related to his competitors. An example is a request demanding the circulation of news about Naftali Bennett’s support to Shelly Yachimovich and Tzipi Livni.
