The Israeli Kan Radio said that the occupation’s government will approve the construction of 850 new settlement units in the West Bank before Trump leaves office.
According to the Radio, the construction of 500 settlement units will be approved in Itamar, Beit El, Shavei Shomron, and Giv'at Ze'ev. 250 others will be constructed in Nofei Nehemia settlement outpost, and 100 units in Tel Menashiya, where a female settler was recently murdered.
This was announced after a secret meeting was held between Benny Gantz and the settlers’ representatives. Gantz had pledged to reinforce the settlement project and approve random settlement outposts.
Yair Lapid, leader of Yesh Atid, criticized Netanyahu’s government for its determination to allow the construction of settlement units in the West Bank, considering this an irresponsible move that could lead to clashes with the new American Administration.
