B'Tselem: ‘Israel’ Is Apartheid ‘Country’

Jan 13, 2021 11:23 am

B’Tsleem organization published a paper describing, for the first time, the Israeli entity as an ‘apartheid state’ that is far from being democratic.

The organization said that the Israeli regime seeks to establish the Jewish supremacy from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea (referring to historical Palestine).

It also mentioned that the regime in effect in the territory under the occupation’s control (the lands of 1948, the West Bank, the occupied east Al-Quds and the Gaza Strip) indicates the entity’s establishment of Jews’ supremacy over other groups (i.e. the Palestinians).

The paper explained how such regime did not appear out of the sudden. It in fact has been in the process of making throughout the years. It has been reflected in the laws, practices, and public and judiciary support. It also said that the main means that is used by the occupation to achieve the Jewish supremacy is the engineering of the geography, demography and politics of the region.

B’Tsleem organization said that the Palestinians’ lives are completely different and they are isolated. ‘Israel’ decides which rights to grant the Palestinians, and which to violate. Generally, all the rights that are granted to the Palestinians are insufficient in comparison with the ones granted to the Jews.

The organization mentioned that since 1948, the entity has grabbed 90% of the occupied lands of 1948 and established hundreds of settlements.

In the conclusion, the organization said that the Palestinians living in the occupied lands are still under the military rule in the West Bank, and under the siege and the occupation’s control in the Gaza Strip.
