Jan 30, 2021 12:19 pm

Al-Quds newspaper said that the USAID Agency has made calls with multiple non-governmental Palestinian institutions in preparation for resuming its work in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip after two years of suspension.

The newspaper reported trusted sources saying that a high-profile official in the American Agency had informed Palestinian officials in several non-governmental institutes that his Agency was ordered by President Biden’s administration to resume work in the Palestinian lands.

The USAID is the main governmental agency that ran the external aids program of the USA in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip from 1994 until the end of 2018. The main aim of its programs is to reach a just and permanent solution to the ‘Palestinian-Israeli conflict’ and to meet the needs of the Palestinian people in development, economy, youth building, and humanitarian aids.
